Observations

I return to this post often when I need to encourage myself. I’m reposting it to encourage others.

Perseverance is not an easy task right now. 2020 has changed the rules a little, but 2021 will ring in a new administration and hopefully some brighter days. Regardless of what’s ahead….keep pushing forward, and keep working towards your goals. I’m rooting for us!

Although the original post below was from a few years back when my Daughter started her first business Twine and Toil, the same principle still holds true. Her second venture The Meza Collective shows how perseverance, persistence, and dedication to one’s self pays off.

The post below was written by my daughter during her business’s infancy stage. She’s still learning but her persistence has definitely led to her business taking off.

If there is one thing that I’ve noticed about getting a business from infancy to maturity is this one common denominator. Persistence. I’ve seen it time and time again. Just the act of writing even when the only person reading is your mother and the only person buying your hand-made earrings is your best friend. In most cases, this is what separates those who will succeed from those who will fail.

Even though you may only see a business when it has been figured out and blown up in the public eye, the reality is that usually, entrepreneurs have been on the grind for years. To keep going in the face of doubt, fear, exhaustion, restlessness, and uncertainty, may be the only thing keeping you from it. What could you accomplish if the only thing stopping you was…in essence…not continuing to move?
